Cloud Middleware gets very real and is close to compelling

These are "SaaS platform providers" on top of Amazon's EC2 - they deal with all the tedious virtual machine configuration, fail over and auto scaling for you.

morph eXchange

http://www.morphexchange.com/ - Facebook Apps, Ruby on Rails, Java ... PHP soon.

heroku

http://heroku.com/ - Ruby on Rails only for now.

MorphExchange seems more "real". Heroku is the 3 hackers in a basement model, which isn't to say that they won't be successful.

Thanks for the 'blink', Christian. It feels good to get words of encouragement and this is great validation for the effort our guys put in to make the technology work 24/7.

There is so much going on in the cloud compute space that it will be great to see both mor.ph and Heroku succeed with the models they offer for programmers everywhere. And beating the big boys will be icing on top :)

Best.
