Hulu could be the game changer

Everyone (hyperbole alert) seems to be trying the model for online movie and TV shows.

hulu.com might just be that. An NBC/Universal co-venture it launched with a fairly large selection of content.

Some of the content is just clips, but a lot of is complete, and there's some smart choices: geek/early adopter goodies like "Battlestar Gallactica", "Firefly" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" as well as some very popular shows like my "My Name is Earl".

The quality of the content and being free are going to be very compelling.
